About the Role
Due to continued growth and an expanding project portfolio, our client is looking for a skilled Mechanical & Electrical Estimator to join its dynamic Estimating team.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-impact infrastructure projects while collaborating with experienced professionals in a supportive, forward-thinking environment.
As a Mechanical & Electrical Estimator, you will play a key role in preparing accurate and competitive estimates across a range of construction projects, supporting both internal teams and external partners.
Key responsibilities include:
Developing detailed M&E estimates from tender documentation, drawings, and specifications
Collaborating with designers, project managers, clients, and suppliers
Providing cost, design, and construction methodology advice
Leading negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers
Supporting value engineering and efficient design solutions
Assisting the Commercial team with variations and final accounts
Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Mentoring junior team members to strengthen team capability
About you:
Youll be a proactive, detail-oriented professional with strong technical expertise in mechanical and electrical engineering.
Essential requirements:
Mechanical or electrical qualification with installation/project delivery experience
Experience in HV and LV electrical systems engineering and pricing
Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines independently
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Solid understanding of M&E systems and construction processes
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimating software
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
Desirable:
Experience in water and wastewater projects
Background in sectors such as food manufacturing, process engineering, or oil & gas
