A leading national law firm, well-regarded for its work in defendant insurance litigation, is seeking to recruit a Senior EL / PL Litigation Executive to join its growing Casualty Team. This is an exciting opportunity to handle a mixed caseload of multi-track employer’s liability and public liability (EL/PL) claims, predominantly valued between £25k and £100k, for a variety of high-profile clients.
In this role, you will manage both litigated and pre-litigation multi-track claims, providing comprehensive assessments of liability and quantum, and devising strategies to achieve the best possible outcomes. You will also be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and insurers, liaising regularly with them to ensure smooth case progression.
The role involves drafting pleadings, preparing witness statements, attending court hearings, and managing case files efficiently through the firm’s Case Management System. You will also be expected to meet key performance targets related to chargeable hours, work in progress (WIP), and client management information (MI).

* Strong knowledge of liability assessments, quantum analysis, and case strategy
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
* Proficient in negotiating and managing client relationships effectively
* Ability to draft clear and concise legal documents, including pleadings and witness evidence

* Able to prioritise work, meet deadlines, and work under pressure
* Driven to meet targets and deliver high-quality outcomes
* Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities
* Client-focused, with excellent interpersonal and client care skills
* Good advocacy skills with the ability to attend court and hearings as required
The Benefits
* Competitive salary up to £45,000 based on experience
* 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, with the option to buy/sell additional days
* Private medical insurance
* Company pension scheme
* Life assurance and income protection
* Ongoing professional development and training
* Collaborative team environment with opportunities for career progression
