The Winning Post is a beautifully refurbished destination pub and restaurant, known for exceptional food, warm hospitality, and a genuine community focus. We are looking for a hands‑on, charismatic General Manager to lead our pub, restaurant, and rooms.

General Manager Requirements
* Previous experience as a General Manager of a gastro‑style pub for at least 1 year, or a proven track record in different pub/restaurant styles.
* Consistent approach to driving the team to achieve the highest levels of guest service.
* Strong leadership and motivation to foster effective team working aligned with the company vision and direction.
* Passionate about hospitality and delivering exceptionally high‑standard service.
* Highly motivated, proactive and reliable.
* Available to work up to 48 hours per week, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
* Financial understanding, experience with P&L, sales and labour budgeting.
* Right to work in the UK.
General Manager Responsibilities
* Overall management of the pub in line with company procedures and brand standards.
* Lead by example with a hands‑on approach to training, coaching and development of the team.
* Engage with the local community to develop and improve repeat business, enhance reputation, and ensure the pub is an essential pillar within the community.
* Inspire a passion for delivering great food and service culture throughout the team.
* Overall responsibility for the health and safety of guests, team and visitors through constant administration of fire procedures, kitchen and H&S assessments.
* Ensure compliance with licensing as the DPS.
* Oversee all ordering to ensure alignment with requirements while controlling stock and wastage levels.
* Prepare team rosters at least 2 weeks in advance and inline with the company’s labour budgets.
