Cash Allocation Administrator
Location: Borehamwood (Hybrid, 3 days in the office / 2 days from home)
Salary: £25,000 per annum + Benefits
We're representing a leading organisation in the healthcare sector that is seeking a Cash Allocation Administrator to join their growing finance team based in Borehamwood.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in accounts receivable or cash allocation to join a dynamic business and play a key role in maintaining accurate ledgers and supporting cash flow management.
The Role
Accurately allocate incoming payments (BACS, CHAPS, cheques, direct debits, etc.) to customer accounts
Investigate and resolve unallocated or misapplied payments promptly
Work closely with accounts receivable specialists to resolve payment discrepancies
Perform account reconciliations and process refunds or adjustments when necessary
Support month-end and year-end close activities related to cash allocation
Provide documentation for audits and assist with related queries
Contribute to process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in cash allocation
About You
Previous experience in an Finance Administrator, Accounts Receivable or Cash Allocation role
Strong understanding of cash allocation and reconciliation processes
Experience working with financial systems such as Unit4, SAP, Oracle, Sage, or similar
Basic knowledge of accounting principles and the order-to-cash process
High attention to detail and accuracy with excellent organisational skills
Confident communicator with strong problem-solving abilities
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
