Overview
The hourly rate for this role is £12.60 and up to £14.13 across selected locations within London. The hourly rate will increase after 6 months in role. No previous experience is required, and full training will be provided.
As a Trainee Dispenser working within one of our stores, you will be a key member of our pharmacy team, supporting the pharmacist and healthcare professionals in your store to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of pharmacy and healthcare services. You will work within the store\'s healthcare department while you complete your Dispenser training (NVQ2), building relationships with patients by listening to and understanding their needs, greeting customers, dispensing prescriptions and advising on medicines to support patients in making informed decisions about their health and wellness.
This role is based in-store within the UK. Remote applicants will not be considered and applications from candidates outside the UK will not be progressed unless relevant UK qualifications and right to work can be confirmed and evidenced.
Key responsibilities
* Complete your training for the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 programme
* Dispense prescriptions while ensuring the safe supply of medicines (ordering medicines, labelling, dispensing, endorsing and collection of prescriptions)
* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in your store to assist in the management and delivery of pharmacy services
* Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist as appropriate
* Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to support the safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions
* Stay up to date with new innovations in-store and comply with operational processes
* Support patients to manage their prescriptions and medicines effectively to promote adherence and reduce waste
Working with evolving technologies within store, you will have the opportunity to work with new systems to develop dispensing processes, enhance patient safety and free up time to spend with patients. Regular updates and training will nurture your healthcare knowledge and there are career development options including training as a Pharmacy Technician or within store leadership.
What you’ll need to have
* Desire to learn and complete the Dispenser training programme (NVQ2)
* Current and valid UK right to work. This role is not eligible for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa.
