Pupil Intervention Worker – Alternative Provision (Liverpool)
Are you passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning? Do you have the skills to engage and support students in an alternative provision setting?
We are seeking a Pupil Intervention Worker to join an alternative provision school in Liverpool. This full-time role, with the opportunity to become permanent, involves working closely with students who have Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs). The goal is to build strong relationships, support students to achieve their potential, and reignite their motivation to learn.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide tailored intervention and support to help students reengage with education.
* Build trusting relationships to create a safe and supportive learning environment.
* Work with students on a one-to-one basis or in small groups to target areas for development.
* Help students overcome barriers to learning and develop confidence in their abilities.
* Collaborate with teachers and support staff to implement intervention strategies.
The Ideal Candidate:
* Experience working in alternative provisions, SEN, PRU, or similar settings.
* Background in intervention work, mentoring, or student support roles.
* Patient, understanding, and resilient, with a passion for helping young people succeed.
* Strong ability to build rapport and encourage students to engage in their education.
* Knowledge of SEMH, SEN, and behaviour management strategies is desirable.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
