* Part time, 18 hours per week (flexibility to negotiate additional hours) Fixed term until Feb 2028 with possibility of extension based on funding. Located near Central Station

* Base Salary HEO8 $126,065 - $142,171 (pro rata) + 17% superannuation

About the opportunity

Join the Sydney Quantum Academy (SQA) in a pivotal communications leadership role. As Manager – Communications, Marketing and Media, you will shape and deliver strategic communications that elevate SQA's profile and impact. You will have one direct report - the Marketing and Communication Officer, and you will work closely with senior leadership to drive awareness, engagement, and leadership across multiple channels.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

* work closely with the Academic Director, General Manager, and external stakeholders to deliver strategic communications

* lead and implement integrated marketing and media plans across digital, print, and event platforms

* manage SQA's branding, messaging, and public presence including website, social media, newsletters, and media relations

* organise, market and promote SQA events and external engagements

* develop and maintain strong relationships with partner universities and government contacts

* supervise and support the Marketing and Communication Officer.

About you

* a relevant tertiary qualification in communications, marketing, public relations, or equivalent experience extensive experience in developing and executing integrated marketing and media campaigns

* strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to tailor content for diverse audiences

* experience in event organization, marketing and coordination

* demonstrated ability to manage stakeholder relationships and external suppliers

* experience in government relations or higher education is highly regarded.
