Junior Support Engineer
Salary: Competitive
Location: Rugeley, Staffordshire
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior Support Engineer to join a growing company in Rugeley. You will play a key role supporting customers and field engineers, assisting with internal IT, and helping configure and commission systems. Occasional national and international travel may be required.

Key Responsibilities:
Customer Support:
* Liaise with customers to provide technical support
* Conduct remote diagnostics and implement repair solutions
* Develop support procedures and maintain accurate records
System Commissioning:
* Assist engineers with on-site and remote system commissioning
* Maintain system records, process data, and prepare reports
* Collaborate with customers and third-party engineers
Customer Equipment Setup:
* Set up and test laptops, tablets, and other customer devices
* Install software, perform acceptance tests, and maintain setup procedures
Internal IT Support:
* Support day-to-day IT operations, including servers and staff devices
* Install updates, troubleshoot issues, and perform backups
Candidate Requirements:
* Experience in IT support or a similar technical role
* Strong ICT skills and problem-solving ability
* Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure
* Highly organised, with attention to detail and excellent time management
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Hands-on, proactive, and ‘can-do’ attitude
* Good commercial awareness
