About the Role As the Art Technician, you will play a vital part in ensuring that lessons run smoothly and that the department maintains a safe, inspiring environment for students. Your responsibilities will include: Preparing materials and resources for KS3–KS5 lessons Assisting with setting up and clearing practical workspaces Ensuring equipment such as brushes, palettes, tools, easels and specialist media are maintained Managing stock, ordering supplies, and monitoring inventory levels Keeping the studios clean, safe, and organised in line with school H&S expectations Helping mount, present and display student artwork across the school Assisting students during coursework sessions, exhibitions, and creative workshops This role suits someone artistic, hands-on, and proactive — whether your background is fine art, photography, textiles, ceramics, or mixed media. Experience and Skills Background in Art, Design, Photography, or similar preferred Strong organisation and attention to detail Ability to multitask and support busy creative spaces Confident working independently and as part of a team Positive, calm, and practical approach Training will be offered, especially regarding school policies, safeguarding, and equipment use.
