Theatre Practitioner Scrub – Robotics Gynaecology and Urology
Cromwell Hospital, London, SW5 0TU (5 mins walk from Earls Court underground or 7 mins walk from Gloucester Road underground.)
£37,080 to £46,890 per annum

Full time, 37 Hrs per week
Monday to Saturday plus additional shift enhancements for weekend working - various shift patterns available

We work with surgeons who are the best in their specialities carrying out simple to the more complex surgeries.

What you’ll do:
Your role as a Theatre Practitioner Robotics Gynaecology, Urology, Thoracic is to ensure that we provide the best quality service in a pleasant environment for both staff and patients whilst ensuring that a high quality, cost-effective service is delivered to patients and consultant users. You’ll work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, being flexible and supporting with shared tasks.
1. Assist in the positioning and preparation of a patient as directed by the surgical team and ensure that any specimens are correctly labelled and dispatched to the laboratory.
2. Provide immediate post-operative care.
3. Take charge of the clinical area in the absence of an advanced practitioner ensuring patient, visitors and staff safety.
4. Adhere to the procedures for the use of supplies, ordering requirements for the Department as directed by line manager.
5. Ensure the accurate collection of data in relation to theatre activity.
6. Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate peri-operative patient care.
7. Prepare patients for clinical/ operative procedures, both in anaesthetics and surgery.
8. Participate in the delegation and supervision of junior grades, unqualified and less experienced staff.
What you’ll bring:
9. NMC Registered Nurse (Adult and/or Children).
10. Alternatively, HCPC registered with a Diploma or Degree in Health Care Studies / ODP Level 3 NVQ / ODA 752.
11. Previous perioperative experience in Robotics Gynaecology, Urology, Thoracic is essential
