JOB SUMMARY Neuthread: where reharvested waste becomes ethical fashion Daisy Chain has launched Neuthread, a community sewing and social enterprise project. Our aim is to reduce textile waste and create training, jobs, and meaningful work for autistic and neurodiverse people. We have established a production space where fabrics and garments are reharvested, redesigned, and remade into ethical fashion supporting the environment and our community. We are looking for a Project Manager to coordinate the delivery of all Neuthread activities in line with the project plan set by the Director of Business Development. Working closely with the Director, you will be responsible for day-to-day management across production, the Skills Academy (Mend It, Don’t Rag It), volunteering growth, sales, community initiatives, events such as the Ecolution Festival, and partnership building. You will track milestones, manage schedules, prepare reports, and ensure all activities deliver against project objectives, funder requirements, and budgets. KEY TASKS > Project Management & Delivery - Coordinate delivery of all Neuthread workstreams in line with the agreed project plan and funding requirements. - Track milestones, monitor performance, and flag risks or delays to the Director. - Maintain project documentation, records, and reporting for governance and funder requirements. - Service project governance committees and internal meetings - preparing agendas, papers, and progress reports. - Monitor project expenditure and work with the Director to ensure budgets are met. > Partnership Development - Build and maintain partnerships with universities, local authorities, businesses, charities, and community organisations. - Act as a point of contact for external partners, ensuring commitments are met and opportunities maximised. - Represent Neuthread at external events, networks, and meetings. > Volunteer Growth (within the wider programme) - Project manage the expansion of volunteering in Neuthread, engaging individuals and partner organisations. - Ensure volunteer roles are aligned with project objectives and supported by appropriate staff and resources. > Skills Academy – Mend It, Don’t Rag It - Oversee operational delivery of the Skills Academy, ensuring the dedicated skills post holder has the resources, partnerships, and support needed to succeed. - Monitor quality, accessibility, and participant outcomes. > Events & Community Initiatives - Coordinate planning and delivery for Neuthread-led events, including the Ecolution Festival (from late 2026). - Work with partners, suppliers, and staff to keep planning and delivery on track. > Sales & Production - Monitor production KPIs and work with the production team to ensure targets are achieved. - Support the Director in generating and following up on sales leads. > Additional Tasks - Comply with Daisy Chain’s Health and Safety policies in all employment practices. - Work in ways that promote equality, opportunity, participation, and responsibility. - Maintain the integrity of the Daisy Chain brand in all internal and external communications. - Contribute proactively to the role and responsibilities, maintaining a positive ethos within the organisation. - Attend staff meetings and contribute to continuous service improvement and quality initiatives. - Ensure attendance and engagement with all required training and development activities. - Any other reasonable tasks as required, in line with the level of the post. - To ensure that confidential/sensitive information is handled in an appropriate manner and in line with GDPR. - Work in a way that contributes to the continuous improvement of the Charity’s services and embraces the organisations quality initiatives.
