Responsibilities
* Load and unload goods from lorries and containers, ensuring safe handling and storage.
* Operate warehouse management systems to track inventory levels and manage stock movements.
* Perform shipping and receiving tasks, including verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the warehouse to promote a safe working environment.
* Conduct equipment repair as needed to ensure all machinery is operational.
* Handle materials with care, adhering to safety protocols during all operations.
* Assist in inventory counts and report discrepancies as necessary.
* Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals and deadlines.
Skills
* Proven experience in a warehouse setting is preferred.
* Familiarity with warehouse management systems for efficient inventory tracking.
* Strong mechanical knowledge for equipment repair and maintenance tasks.
* Proficient in materials handling techniques, ensuring safe lifting practices.
* Ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently (certification may be required).
* Basic mathematical skills for accurate record keeping and inventory management.
* Capability to perform heavy lifting as required by the role.
