Our client partner is looking for a Planning Engineer to join their Offshore Wind business line. This is a 12-month, full-time contract position based in Kingston upon Thames, UK. The role is suitable for candidates with 5-10 years of experience in planning, preferably within the offshore wind or offshore Oil & Gas industry.
Key Responsibilities
As a Planning Engineer, you will be responsible for:
* Developing and maintaining project schedules, especially during the tendering phase.
* Monitoring progress and identifying any deviations from the plan.
* Creating and updating 90-day, weekly, and monthly schedules.
* Assisting in preparing the project status reports.
* Supporting with contract amendments, claims, and time impact analysis.
* Participating in schedule risk analysis.
Required Skills and Experience
* Experience: 5-10 years in planning activities, with a background in the offshore Oil & Gas or offshore wind sectors.
* Education: HNC, HND, or bachelor's degree.
* Technical Skills: Experience with planning for tendering projects, as well as T&I (Transportation & Installation) and EPCI (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Installation) projects.
* IT Skills: Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
* Contract: 12-month contractor position, 37.5 hours per week.
* Location: Kingston upon Thames, with hybrid/smart working options.
* Eligibility: You must reside in the UK and have a permanent UK right-to-work status. Our client partner is unable to provide sponsorships for this role.
