Due to contract expansion, we are seeking a Housing Manager to join our team. This is an exciting position that works exclusively to support asylum seekers through their right to work asylum application process with the Home Office. The ideal candidate will be resilient, trustworthy, caring, a people person, and extremely empathetic to others.
As a Housing Manager, your main responsibilities will include managing property portfolios, ensuring the safeguarding and welfare of all residents, and coordinating with various teams to deliver seamless services. You will be responsible for moving service users in and out of properties, flagging risks to management, conducting regular inspections to ensure contractual compliance, and meeting Key Performance Indicators, internal, and commercial targets. All records and IT data must be kept accurate and up-to-date.
Role Criteria:
* Previous experience managing housing portfolios
* Experience working with vulnerable or diverse client groups
* Understanding of safeguarding protocols
* Experience working with mental health issues and challenging behaviour
* Effective communication skills with colleagues, authorities, and service users
* Experience in record keeping and risk assessments
* Full UK driving license
* Approachable, trustworthy, resilient, and empathetic
* Ability to work independently
To drive a Mears vehicle, you must be aged over 21, have held your license for over 3 months, and have fewer than 9 points.
