Civil Engineer – Cardiff
Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 per annum
Overview
Exciting role within a multi‑discipline, multi‑office consultancy based out of the Cardiff office. The successful candidate will manage their own projects and support team members by reviewing engineering work. The role also involves financial aspects of the business, including liaising with clients, preparing proposals and invoicing. This is an exciting opportunity to run your own projects, maintain client relationships and grow the team.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and deliver drainage design projects (SuDS/SAB and foul drainage) and highways work (S278/38 agreements).
* Manage projects across residential, commercial and industrial developments of varying size.
* Review and check engineering work of other team members.
* Prepare engineering reports and liaise with clients and local authorities.
* Assist with financial aspects: proposals, invoicing and client communication.
Qualifications & Experience
* 4–5 years of civil engineering experience.
* Strong knowledge of drainage design/SuDS and highway design.
* Proficient in AutoCAD, Microdrainage/Causeway Flow and Civils3D.
* Experience in report writing and client communication.
* Desire to mentor and manage graduates or junior staff.
