Our client, a globally renowned Live Events organisation, is seeking a hands-on Lead Infrastructure Engineer to join their team and lead several new projects. This role will require the line management of a senior engineer and will report to the Head of Infrastructure. Role: Infrastructure Manager Location: Birmingham (Hybrid) Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 (Dependant on Experience) Key Responsibilities Infrastructure Management: Oversee design, deployment, maintenance, and security of servers, networks, firewalls, backup systems, cloud services, and telephony systems. Operations and Maintenance: Ensure system availability, reliability, and performance. Monitor infrastructure, maintain documentation, and implement disaster recovery plans. Project Management: Lead infrastructure projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with IT strategy. Incident and Problem Management: Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, improve incident response processes, and minimize downtime. Security and Compliance: Maintain IT security policies, address vulnerabilities, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Essential Skills and Experience: Proven IT management experience Deep expertise in Microsoft 365 (AAD, Intune, Exchange, Teams, SharePoint) Strong knowledge of Microsoft Server 2012/2016/2019 and core infrastructure services Experience with virtualization, firewalls, networking, Wi-Fi, backup, endpoint security, and MDM Technical documentation skills Desirable Skills and Experience: Networking certifications (CCNA/CCNP) Experience with Cisco network switches, Fortinet firewalls, Veeam Backup, VMware, and telephony systems Familiarity with monitoring tools (PRTG, Zabbix) Understanding of GDPR Please apply if you deem yourself to be suitable!
