Key Responsibilities
* Monitoring daily attendance and punctuality across the school using the MIS system
* Identifying attendance concerns and implementing early intervention strategies
* Liaising with parents and carers regarding absences, conducting home visits where necessary
* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in line with statutory requirements
* Producing detailed attendance reports and analysis for the Senior Leadership Team
* Supporting safeguarding procedures by tracking "Children Missing Education" (CME)
* Working collaboratively with Heads of Year and external agencies to improve attendance figures
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
* Previous experience in a school attendance, pastoral, or administrative role
* Strong knowledge of current DfE attendance legislation and safeguarding requirements
* Experience using school MIS systems (such as SIMS, Arbor, or Bromcom)
* Excellent organisational skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
* The ability to manage sensitive situations and difficult conversations with professionalism and empathy
* A proactive, reliable, and detail-oriented approach to data management
