Overview
Style Director, The World of Interiors at Condé Nast— lead the creative direction and execution of Swatch and Shortlist pages across print and digital. This pivotal role sits at the heart of the editorial team, responsible for delivering visually compelling features while maintaining the magazine’s distinctive approach.
Responsibilities
* Lead the concept, planning and execution of all styled merchandising content, ensuring consistency with WOI’s visual identity across print and digital.
* Manage and mentor the in-house styling team, overseeing daily workflow, project timelines, budget and creative output.
* Act as a senior member of the leadership team, supporting the Editor in shaping the magazine s creative direction and contributing to strategic planning across editorial and commercial endeavours.
* Collaborate with the Editor and Art Director to develop original and imaginative ways to showcase products in the magazine and translate print features into engaging online content with digital teams.
* Thoroughly research shoots by subject to ensure a high standard of visual storytelling and commercial appeal.
* Create images that reinforce the magazine as a market leader in taste and style direction.
About You
* Extensive experience in a senior styling role within interiors, lifestyle or fashion media.
* A strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional eye for composition, colour and storytelling.
* Deep knowledge of the decorative arts is vital.
* Strong organisational skills, with the ability to work within tight budgets and meet monthly deadlines.
* Proven experience leading creative teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
* Excellent industry contacts across interiors brands, PRs and suppliers.
* Broad skills including set design, sewing, painting, sculpting etc.
* Exceptional organisational and communication skills with a collaborative and adaptable approach, thriving on shoots and in the office to bring ideas to life.
