£12.21 per hour
Acorn by Synergie are looking to recruit Kitchen Assistants for the Magor area. Working Monday to Friday from 8am to 2.30pm daily. Must have previous catering/kitchen experience and completed Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate.
Responsibilities -
* Cleaning utensils, food preparation equipment, other tools, and kitchen floors
* Prepping ingredients for dishes
* Washing, peeling and preparing food ingredients
* Cooking ingredients according to directions received from chef
* Reviewing kitchen inventory and determining what items are needed
* Unloading fresh supplies and organising the stockroom
* Checking sell-by dates and rotating food stock
* Observing cooking times and correct temperatures
* Ensuring that food preparation areas are clean and hygienic
* Minimum level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate required.
* Able to understand and communicate in English at a working level (spoken and written)
* Able to work independently as well as part of a team
* Able to remain calm and effective in a high-pressure environment
* Flexible and willing to support other roles or duties as needed
