Overview
A global legal business is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager with strong Infrastructure delivery expertise to join its established Project Delivery team. This role will focus on managing and delivering a range of strategic technology initiatives‑spanning core infrastructure upgrades, cloud and platform services, enterprise applications, and operational change. Operating within a complex, fast‑paced environment, you will lead cross‑functional teams, coordinate external suppliers, and ensure successful end‑to‑end project execution.
Key Responsibilities

* Manage internal technical teams, engineering specialists, and third‑party suppliers, ensuring clear direction and quality outputs.
* Develop and maintain core project documentation including delivery plans, RAID logs, status reports, and financial tracking.
* Oversee progress against milestones, budgets, and scope; identify risks, issues, and dependencies with proactive mitigation.
* Ensure effective, transparent communication between IT, business services, operations, and vendor teams, maintaining alignment on scope, timelines, and priorities.
* Translate technical requirements—particularly around infrastructure and platform change—into clear business language for mixed stakeholder groups.
* Coordinate resource allocation, scheduling, procurement activities, and vendor engagement to support delivery.
* Lead service transition activities, ensuring infrastructure and application changes are embedded successfully into BAU support with appropriate documentation and knowledge transfer.
Skills & Experience Required
* 5+ years’ experience delivering end‑to‑end IT projects, with significant exposure to infrastructure‑focused initiatives such as server/network upgrades, cloud migration, virtualisation, storage, identity management, endpoint solutions, or data centre work.
* Strong experience managing third‑party vendors, hardware/software suppliers, and managed service partners.
* Solid understanding of application delivery, software development lifecycles, and integration with infrastructure services.
* Strong knowledge of PRINCE2, Agile, and traditional Waterfall methodologies.
* Excellent planning, organisation, and risk management skills, with the ability to operate in structured yet flexible environments.
* Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities, comfortable working with technical teams, senior business leaders, and external partners.
Desirable
* Experience in professional services or other regulated, client‑focused environments.
* Background in delivering cloud‑based projects (Azure, SaaS, platform consolidation, identity & access management).
* Experience working with large‑scale outsource partners or managed service providers.
