Stockport County Community Trust is the official charity of Stockport County Football Club, which was set up in 2021 after the purchase of the club by Mark Stott, with the aim of ensuring the football club has a positive impact in the local community. The charity works across Stockport and the surrounding area to use the power of football and Stockport County to make a positive difference by inspiring, educating and supporting the community.
The charity engages with around 8,000 people each year through a variety of education, social inclusion and health and wellbeing programmes, working with residents aged from 5-85 (the current age of our youngest and oldest participants) in a variety of club and community settings.
Purpose of the role
Stockport County Community Trust is seeking a qualified and experienced Health and Wellbeing Coordinator to continue to develop the Trust's mission of “using the power of Stockport County FC to make a positive difference by inspiring, educating and supporting our community”.
The postholder will lead on our brand-new programme, ‘Wellbeing Goals’, funded by the National Lottery which will include designing and developing a range of projects across our ‘Start Well, ‘Be Well’ and ‘Age Well’ initiatives, helping to promote positive mental and physical health in our local community.

Roles and responsibilities
As the Health and Wellbeing Coordinator for Stockport County Community Trust, you will lead on our brand new ‘Wellbeing Goals’ initiative, a new-three programme which will support Stockport residents to live happier and healthier lives.
The main responsibilities of the post holder would include:
•Working directly with the Trust's Head of Health and Wellbeing to develop our brand new ‘Wellbeing Goals’ programme
•Designing and leading new health and wellbeing programmes/interventions in targeted areas across Stockport, in line with the ‘Wellbeing Goals’ funding objectives and requirements
•Supporting with a three-year delivery plan to grow and enhance the ‘Wellbeing Goals’ programme across Stockport
•Managing the delivery of the Trust’s current health and wellbeing projects, including taking lead responsibility for monitoring and evaluation
•Carrying out health checks, motivational interviewing, movement assessments and pre-activity questionnaires
•Maintaining high-level delivery standards across each project
•Supporting the wider health and wellbeing staff team, setting examples of best practice and overseeing the delivery of weekly programmes
•Delivering specialist group physical activity programmes to a range of demographics, including those living with long-term health conditions
•Leading mental wellbeing workshops to be delivered to a wide range of beneficiaries
•Taking lead responsibility for the delivery and organisation of the health and wellbeing weekly timetable
•Developing participation and programme engagement for each programme
•Attending network and steering group meetings locally, as required
•Managing relationships with key stakeholders, including funders and delivery partners
•Fully embedding our health initiatives in Stockport, as part of our 3-year strategic plan
•Be an ambassador for health and wellbeing locally to support and work with existing community partners
•Showcase meaningful health outcomes to demonstrate the importance of Community Club Organisations
•Establishing new relationships with local partners to enhance delivery
•Collating quantitative/ qualitative data, utilising focus groups/ collecting case studies to showcasing project outcomes.
There may be a need within this role to work flexible and unsociable hours when required.
