Job Description:
Our Vehicle Maintenance Unit requires a highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated individual to join as a Senior Vehicle Maintenance Technician.
Shifts: Monday to Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm.
Salary: £23.86 per hour (base salary).

In this role, you will work in a busy environment, leading a team of Vehicle Maintenance Technicians to ensure vehicles are maintained, repaired, and roadworthy according to Department of Transport (DOT) standards and company schedules.
Responsibilities include:
* Managing the performance of Vehicle Maintenance Technicians
* Assisting in daily operations of the VMU in the absence of supervisors
* Diagnosing faults and repairing vehicles to DOT standards
* Completing documentation and reporting to management
* Road testing vehicles (qualified personnel)
* Conducting DOT tests on vehicles (qualified personnel)
* Ensuring safe use of tools and equipment
* Adhering to health and safety policies and legislation
* Providing excellent customer care
* Maintaining communication with traffic departments
* Ensuring all vehicles leave the VMU in a roadworthy condition
Qualifications in vehicle maintenance, good communication skills, attention to detail, and a full driving license are required. Experience in the transport industry and Category C+E entitlement are preferred but not essential.
