Senior Mechanical Engineer | Chelmsford | Space Engineering
A well-established engineering organisation is seeking a mechanical engineer to join its space engineering division. This role is ideal for a Mechanical engineer with 4+ years of experience looking to work on advanced mechanical systems for technology in a growing industry sector.
You’ll be working on advanced imaging systems, developing mechanical features for high-performance applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop advanced mechanical systems for complex engineering systems involving imagery sensors.
Develop and maintain detailed documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and manufacturing drawings.
Participate actively in design reviews, provide constructive feedback to improve designs.
Identify and resolve technical problems during the design phase
Support the testing of mechanical systems.
Experience needed:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Experienced with CAD software
Experience with PTC Creo and Windchill.
Experience with Finite Element Analysis
Ability to engineer systems for challenging environments involving heat, vibration and shock.
