Overview
Gloucestershire Health and Care (GHC) is recruiting enthusiastic and motivated individuals across the county to support people in their communities. The Reablement and Home First Team provide vital short‑term services in people's homes to help them regain independence following hospital stays, injuries or illness.
Responsibilities
Duties for the successful candidate may include supporting people with personal care, meal preparation, medication support and supervising exercise programmes.
Qualifications and Experience
* Enjoy and have experience working with people.
* Understand what motivates people.
* Be comfortable providing practical, sometimes personal and intimate care.
* Have a desire to learn and develop skills.
* Be able to work alone and in a team setting.
* Have basic IT skills.
Experience & Development
No previous experience in a paid or unpaid caring role is required but is an advantage. If you are new to care, we offer a structured development plan, including achieving the Care Certificate. You will progress from Pay Band 2 to Pay Band 3 upon successful completion of the Care Certificate.
Other Requirements
All applicants must hold a valid UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle for work purposes.
Working Hours and Shift Patterns
We provide a 7‑day service between 07.00 and 22.00. Full‑time and part‑time roles are available on 4‑on‑4‑off or 2‑on‑6‑off rolling rotas. Highly sought‑after shifts include:
* AM – 08.00–13.30 (4 on 4 off)
* PM – 17.00–22.00 (4 on 4 off)
* Full‑time split shift (0.98)
Flexible working options can be discussed if needed.
