Title: Repair and Sustainability Sewing Machinist

Salary: £22,932 per annum based on 35 hours per week (Open to Job Share)

Could you become part of the Retail Team with a focus on re-purposed items to enable second life / circular fashion solutions by creating, adapting, and repairing goods from suitable fabric waste derived from corporate and public donations?
We are looking for an experienced sewing machinist with knowledge of and skilled in using a variety of sewing machines and techniques, producing re-purposed items to a high standard.
A day in the life of a Repair and Sustainability Sewing Machinist will involve:
* Producing repeat ranges of re-purposed products from waste material to specific designs for sale in stores and online using various sewing machines.
* Enhancing & adapting existing garments and products to give items a second life suitable for sale.
* Repairing faults on primary use garments to enable their sale.
* Collaborating with the retail warehouse team to select appropriate waste materials for production.
To be successful as a Repair and Sustainability Sewing Machinist, you’ll need:
* High standards in producing re-purposed items.
* Strong skills in garment repairs, using sewing machines and hand sewing if needed.
* Experience working with a variety of materials and adornments.
* Knowledge of different materials to create quality, saleable products.
