Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a lovely employer in the Harrogate area. They are looking to recruit a Customer Service Team Member to work closely with their sales team. As a Customer Service Team Member, you will develop strong relationships with their customers to provide excellent customer service and exceed their delivery expectations.
The customer service team is the first point of contact for their customers, so it’s very important to understand exactly what the customer needs and be able to provide accurate information quickly. This requires good attention to detail and clear communication—these qualities are imperative for this role.
Key Responsibilities of a Customer Service Team Member:
* Answering the phone and redirecting calls to other departments
* Helping customers with enquiries, price requests, and product questions
* Processing customers’ orders and agreeing on delivery dates by phone and email
* Liaising with other departments to progress orders and update customers
* Recognising when a customer is unhappy and taking responsibility to ensure all queries are resolved satisfactorily
* Reporting to the Sales Office Coordinator with agreed KPIs each week
Customer Service Team Member Characteristics:
* Outgoing personality with the desire to go the extra mile to provide excellent service
* Good communication skills with a professional approach
* Strong attention to detail and good IT skills
* Keen to learn and share technical product knowledge
* Competitive or sales-minded
* Receives feedback positively and demonstrates a “can do” attitude
* At least one year's experience in a customer service role, preferably in a fast-paced supplier industry such as construction supplies, business supplies, print, promotional products, transport, or delivery services.
