They are looking for a Purchasing Assistant to join the team in Harlow, Essex on a full-time permanent basis. Holiday: 25 days plus Bank Holidays Pension Free Parking Employee extras such as: Profit Share scheme About the role: As a Purchasing Assistant, you will support the Production Manager with a variety of duties including purchasing, accounts and planning. The role is a 39-hour workweek, with hours from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday to Thursday (including a ½-hour lunch) and 7:00 am to 12:00 pm on Friday. Other duties will include Accurately enter and manage invoices, orders, and other data into the company’s system, ensuring high attention to detail. Perform hands-on tasks on the shop floor, including moving and handling products or materials as needed. Extract data from manufacturing software and convert it into organised Excel spreadsheets for reporting and analysis. Monitor and reconcile numerical data, identifying discrepancies and ensuring accuracy across all records. Collaborate with team members to maintain smooth workflow between administrative and operational tasks. About you: As a Purchasing Assistant, previous experience within a similar industry is preferred but not essential. You will be detail-oriented and numerically confident individual, comfortable working both administratively and hands-on in a busy production environment. You are confident working with Excel, able to extract and convert data from manufacturing software into clear, organised spreadsheets. You will be physically capable and adaptable and are happy to assist on the shop floor when needed.
