We are seeking a Research Assistant to support a PBIAA/UKRI-funded feasibility study on organic waste management in Park Royal’s Food & Drink sector.

Reference No: 5071

Location: Brunel University London, Uxbridge Campus

Salary: Grade R1 from £36,640 to £38,638 inclusive of London Weighting with potential to progress to £39,682 per annum inclusive of London Weighting through sustained exceptional contribution.

Hours: Full-time

Contract Type: Fixed-term

Duties

* Review relevant policy, legislation and targets; and support surveys, interviews and site visits.
* Collect, clean and analyse qualitative and quantitative data on segregation, storage, collection and onward routing.
* Contribute to evidence-based recommendations, a prioritised action roadmap, and reporting outputs, handling data ethically and confidentially.


Requirements

* A relevant degree (e.g. environmental/chemical/civil engineering).
* Applied research experience in sustainability/circular economy/waste.
* Experience with surveys/interviews and site-based data collection.
* Experience of applied research and data analysis (including surveys and/or interviews), and strong Excel/data management skills.
* Clear written and verbal communication skills, and confidence engaging stakeholders professionally and handling sensitive information.
* Ability to work on your own initiative, plan site visits, meet deadlines, and travel to Park Royal (West London).
* Commitment to ethical research and confidentiality.
