Senior Building Surveyor
Salary: £400/ Day

We are currently working on behalf of a local authority client to recruit an experienced Senior Building Surveyor to support the delivery of a high-quality, responsive repairs service across their housing portfolio. This is a senior role where you will provide technical leadership, oversee surveyor performance, and ensure repair works are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Working closely with contractors, building safety teams and asset colleagues, you will play a key role in maintaining compliance, improving service delivery and ensuring residents’ homes are well maintained.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing and supporting the performance and development of surveyors
* Providing technical expertise on complex repair and building issues
* Overseeing contractor performance to ensure works meet required standards, specifications and timescales
* Carrying out regular site inspections and maintaining accurate digital records and reports
* Ensuring repairs are progressed in a timely manner to support tenant satisfaction targets
* Working collaboratively with Building Safety and Compliance teams to maintain regulatory standards
* Liaising with Planned Works teams to inform longer-term investment and asset management decisions
* Deputising for the Head of Repairs Partnering when required
This role would suit a qualified and experienced building surveyor with strong knowledge of residential repairs, contractor management and housing compliance, who is confident leading others and driving service improvements.
