Job Title: HVAC Engineer
CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting a HVAC Multi Skilled Engineer to join the team based in Hull.
The successful candidate will perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on plant, equipment, and building services.
Role Summary:
* Identify and manage risks to the client through on-site equipment, including critical spares, improving plant performance, managing environmental conditions via the BMS system, and running all plant and equipment efficiently. Improve and implement preventative maintenance programs.
* Utilize new equipment and technologies to maintain a comfortable environment, liaising with the client on reactive and PPM tasks.
* Fault find on all types of HVAC plant and equipment, with a focus on Variable Refrigerant Volume air conditioning systems. Must have qualifications in refrigerant handling and F-Gas regulations.
* Support team members regarding Health and Safety.
* Act as Energy Champion and assist as Safety Champion for the site.
* Provide electrical and mechanical expertise to the maintenance team.
* Write and follow Risk Assessments, and address any issues arising from them safely and accurately.
* Complete required documentation in compliance with all rules and legislation.
* Use mobile devices to project and complete work tasks via the CAFM maintenance system.
* Plan daily work requirements using email and calendars for efficiency.
* Coordinate with onsite supervisors and account managers to resolve building services issues confidently and accurately.
* Serve as responsible person when required and deputize for the site supervisor during leave or sickness.
* Work overtime as required, including nights and weekends, sometimes with short notice.
* Perform ad hoc duties as needed.
* Supervise and manage subcontractors.
* Participate in an on-call rota for emergency call-outs outside normal hours.
Experience Required:
* A recognized or time-served apprenticeship.
* Proven experience in HVAC maintenance.
* Mechanical qualifications to City and Guilds standards.
* Good multi-skilled abilities.
* Fault-finding skills.
* Supervisory experience with contractors.
* Ability to complete Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
* Understanding and ability to write permits and safe systems of work.
* F-Gas safe handling and refrigerant use.
Desirable Qualifications:
* Working at Height qualification.
* IPAF / PASMA certification.
* AP qualifications.
* BMS system experience.
* HVAC controls knowledge.
