The Food Service Worker is responsible for cooking and preparing food according to recipes and production guidelines while adhering to food safety, food handling, and sanitation procedures. Service of food and/or beverages to customers to the standards set by the company.
Ensure all food hygiene regulations are adhered to, in particular H.Cleaning duties associated with service and related equipment and/or furniture.
Accurate storage of food items and equipment after service.
Food assembly and service of same in an efficient manner, which may include some light cooking.
Monitor and record food and equipment temperatures
Attend in-house training sessions.
Maintain personal hygiene, appearance, and uniform to company regulations at all times.
Comply and assist in the promotion and implementation of the company’s health and safety policy.
Comply and assist in the promotion and implementation of the company’s policies and procedures.
An interest in food and service.
To contribute to maintaining high standards of personal hygiene
Previous experience with a catering environment desirable. On the job training will be given. Must acquire basic food hygiene qualification within first six months.
~ Knowledge of Food Hygiene including HACCP.
