As the Planning & Logistics Principal you'll oversee the Strategic Weapon Systems programme, planning, logistics, and warehousing functions, all in support to ABL SWS operations and TSA support functions. You'll also provide the primary AWE customer interface at a programme level to ensure due diligence prior to any task acceptance and monitoring performance. Key Accountabilities and ResponsibilitiesOversee programme planning, resource allocation, task delivery and performance monitoring to ensure delivery of the Coulport Integrated Operational Plan and deliver further integration of the planning function across warhead life-cycles.Accountable to ensure that the planning team deliver all required planning and programme management services as required by the Strategic Weapon System (SWS) contract.Line manage the SWS Planning, Logistic, Warehousing teams and TSA support functions.Accountable for the provision of the Planning and SWS Logistics support necessary to ensure the safe processing, storage, and handling for Assemblies and associated components.Accountable for highlighting and reporting to line manager any issues or potential risks, delays or changes to the SWS Programme which could have an impact on production and operational programmes.Accountable for the application of Safety, Health, Security, Quality, Compliance, Legislative requirements internal procedures and processes within area of control.Control and manage the availability of equipment and spares to meet the requirements of the programme.Manage and control the Production Operations Programme Integrated Plan.Liaise with all relevant stakeholders to ensure communication and agreement of programme requirements.Provision of formal weekly delivery performance and risk statement to the Resident Director and the customer.Support TU and workforce engagement and communications within areas of responsibility, if required.Produce and agree annual business plan budgets and targets and Monitor business plan performance and drive continuous improvement activities within areas of responsibility.Leadership and direction for performance improvements, innovation, change and the demonstration of value for money.Some reasons we think you'll love it here: AWE has wide range of benefits to suit you.
