Social Worker – Permanent, Part‑Time, 30 hours per week (Hybrid) at Castle House, Newark, NG24 1BY.
Salary
£34,434 – £44,075 per annum (pro rata).
Job Description
We are looking for a motivated and compassionate Social Worker to join our Newark South team, based at Castle House. This role is suitable for a newly qualified or experienced practitioner passionate about strengths‑based social work, promoting independence, and supporting adults in our local community to live safe, fulfilling lives.
Responsibilities
* Undertake strength‑based assessments, support planning and reviews.
* Promote independence, wellbeing, and personal choice for adults and their carers.
* Identify reablement and enablement opportunities and coordinate multi‑agency support.
* Provide professional advice and build strong relationships with individuals, families, and partner agencies.
* Contribute to safeguarding enquiries as a Safeguarding Officer (support for Band A).
* Work proactively with community resources, natural networks, and preventative services.
* Maintain accurate, high‑quality case recording and uphold professional standards.
* Manage workload with appropriate support and supervision.
Qualifications
* Hold a Social Work qualification and be registered with Social Work England.
* Commitment to strengths‑based, rights‑based, and person‑centred practice.
* Work effectively independently and within a supportive team.
* Communicate effectively, build trusted relationships, and collaborate with partners.
* Be organised, motivated, and able to manage competing demands.
* Have a full driving licence and access to transport (reasonable adjustments available).
