Overview
Applications are invited for a full time Consultant in General Adult Psychiatry based at Dorothy Pattison Hospital, Walsall. This is an existing post within a well-established team providing inpatient and community care under the Continuity of Care model, with strong links to community services and CRHT to keep patients close to home.
The post holder will work with 3 other consultants and their medical teams, CPNs, OTs, psychologists and social workers to provide sectorised services to the South of the borough.
Responsibilities
* Work full time to a 10 PA Job Plan.
* Support leadership and service improvement initiatives; opportunities for involvement in service development and partnership work with GPs and primary care.
* Participate in Medical Management with strong support from Clinical Directors.
* Teach postgraduate psychiatric and GP trainees and undergraduates; engage with local universities (Birmingham and Wolverhampton) as part of training commitments.
* Contribute to teaching and training within a Trust recognised for teaching and training activities.

* Current UK professional registration
* Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
