Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Cook/ Chef to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a background in food preparation and cooking. This role requires a commitment to food safety and hygiene, as well as the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Responsibilities
* Help in the preparation and cooking of a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications
* Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to manage meal preparation
* Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils
* Assist in training junior kitchen staff on cooking techniques and food safety practice
* Serve meals in an appealing manner, ensuring presentation meets restaurant standards
Skills
* Would enjoy a career in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment
* Familiar with food safety regulations and best practices
* Previous restaurant experience is desirable
* Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
* Excellent teamwork skills, with the ability to communicate effectively within a diverse team
