Overview
We are recruiting for an experienced Bid Manager for an established Tier 1 contractor operating across the South Coast.
The business is an established entity across the UK, known for honesty and quality delivery. They are trusted by supply chain partners and suppliers as a preferred collaborator.
They work solely on framework and negotiated schemes in the Education, Care, NHS, MOD, MOJ and local authority sectors, ranging from £20 to £90 million on a 2‑stage basis.
Responsibilities
The Bid Manager joins an existing pre‑construction team and is involved from the initial stages of bid selection, targeting opportunities that benefit the business. You will collaborate with the wider pre‑con team to devise, strategise, and build the best possible bid at Stage 1. You will help present the bid and, if successful, manage the Stage 2 process with estimating and design teams while serving as the client point of contact for all enquiries.
You will manage large, complex bids and, ideally, have experience with 2‑stage schemes. You must understand technical queries, produce detailed bids, and create quality content, including initial PQQs for clients.
Qualifications
Experience managing large, complex bids, preferably in 2‑stage schemes, and the ability to write detailed bid content. Confidence in handling technical queries.
