Join our team as an Assistant Procurement Category Manager in Newcastle upon Tyne. This hybrid role involves 2 days in the office per week, working full-time (37.5 hours per week), with a salary circa £27,574 per annum, negotiable based on experience. In this role, you will support the General Procurement team to maximize value, make impactful decisions in social housing procurement, and contribute to meaningful community improvements. Your responsibilities include:
1. Shaping sourcing strategies through data analysis
2. Supporting procurement projects from strategy to delivery
3. Ensuring tender processes comply with public procurement regulations
4. Guiding teams on procurement best practices and facilitating audits
5. Maintaining Oracle procurement systems
6. Managing spend categories and supplier performance
