Job Title: Site Fitter – Water & Mechanical Maintenance
Location: Between sites Wolverhampton and Stourbridge
Salary: Up to £37,500
Hours: 39-hour working week
We are currently recruiting for a Site Fitter to join a small, specialist team delivering mechanical installation and maintenance services across water treatment sites. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced mechanical fitter to step into a lead role, taking ownership of site activities and working closely with a dedicated co-fitter.
The Role
You will be responsible for carrying out mechanical installation, maintenance and replacement works on customer sites, including:
* Travelling between sites and working on pumps, pipework, rotating machinery and associated mechanical equipment
* Removing and replacing worn or defective equipment, including refurbished assets
* Isolating and removing equipment for workshop overhaul when required
* Working safely in line with site health & safety procedures, including confined spaces and working at height where applicable
* Acting as a professional representative of the business on customer sites
* Completing basic job documentation and reporting electronically
Candidate Requirements
* Proven mechanical fitting experience with strong practical skills
* Previous site-based experience (water industry experience advantageous)
* Ability to lead on-site activities while working effectively as part of a small team
* Full UK driving licence
* Basic IT skills for job recording and reporting
* Confined space and working at height certifications desirable (training available if not held)
