Salary: £24,000 – £26,500 (pro rata part time) depending on qualifications and experience

We are seeking an experienced mental health support/family worker/practitioner who has experience of working with Children We Care For.
Role Purpose:
You will deliver person-centred outcome-focused evidence-based interventions for CWCF / children and young people experiencing moderate mental health difficulties to support them to improve their emotional health and build resilience. This will include individual and group work.
Supporting the MDT in designing and implementing innovative client-focussed plans to support successful care pathways and sustainable placements and reunifications.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
This post will work under the line management of the Service Lead / Senior Practitioner. The role will be varied, challenging, and rewarding as you will work as part of a diverse clinical team pro-actively developing the service through co-production, delivery, and ongoing innovation.
Responsibilities:
* Deliver therapeutic interventions to children and young people, working independently which may at times mean lone working.
* Undertake professional initial assessments of young people.
* Provide ongoing and one-off interventions to young people.
* Facilitate peer support interventions with and for children and young people.
* Provide information, advice, guidance.
* Maintain confidential case notes and records in a timely manner ensuring that they are stored securely using the specified case management systems.
Essential Criteria:
* Knowledge of development in CYP, family development and of transitions.
* Experience in managing a caseload.
* Ability to assess and manage risks.
* Ability to make use of supervision.
* Up to date knowledge of CYP emotional wellbeing / early mental health clinical evidence-based practice and support for parents/carers.
* Excellent communication skills including listening, verbal and written.
* Ability to communicate with CYP of different ages, developmental level and backgrounds.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills.
* Ability to interact with colleagues and other stakeholders politely and courteously.
* Experience with reporting in client database packages.
* Punctuality, reliability and honesty.
* Work flexibly and adapt to suit service need.
