Overview
We are seeking an experienced Air Conditioning Working Foreman to lead on-site delivery of AC installation and maintenance projects while remaining hands-on. This role combines technical expertise with site leadership managing engineers, coordinating works, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard.
This is ideal for a senior AC engineer ready to take on more responsibility or an established foreman looking for a stable, long-term opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
On-Site Leadership
Supervise and coordinate AC engineers and subcontractors on site.
Allocate daily tasks and monitor productivity and quality of works.
Act as the main point of contact between site teams and project/operations management.
Lead by example with a strong work ethic and professional standards.
Hands-On Technical Work
Carry out installation, servicing, and maintenance of air conditioning systems.
Work across split systems, VRV/VRF, multi-splits, and commercial AC systems.
Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently.
Support commissioning and handover processes.
Project Delivery
Ensure works are delivered in line with drawings, specifications, and programmes.
Assist with material ordering and ensure correct equipment is on site.
Monitor project timelines and escalate issues where necessary.
Maintain accurate site records, job sheets, and reports.
Health & Safety
Ensure all works are carried out in line with H&S regulations.
Complete and review risk assessments and method statements (RAMS).
Promote a strong safety culture on site.
Ensure tools, equipment, and PPE are used correctly.
What We’re Looking For
Essential
Strong experience as an AC Engineer (installation and/or service).
Previous experience supervising engineers or leading small teams on site.
F-Gas Category 1 certification.
Solid understanding of VRV/VRF and commercial AC systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Full UK driving licence.
Desirable
NVQ / City & Guilds in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration.
IPAF / PASMA certification.
Experience working on commercial projects (offices, retail, hospitality, etc.).
SSSTS or equivalent site supervision qualification
