Overview
Vehicle Technician
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Vehicle Technician to join our team. This role involves carrying out inspections, repairs, and servicing on a variety of vehicles to the highest standards. The position is Monday to Friday - no weekend work required.
Responsibilities
* Diagnose faults and carry out repairs efficiently and effectively.
* Perform routine vehicle servicing and maintenance.
* Conduct MOT pre-checks and ensure vehicles meet DVSA standards (if applicable).
* Maintain accurate service records and complete job cards.
* Adhere to health and safety procedures.
* Use diagnostic equipment and follow technical manuals.
* Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers if needed.
* Keep up-to-date with the latest automotive technologies and procedures.
Requirements
* NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
* Proven experience as a vehicle technician or mechanic.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Good attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
Desirable (but not essential)
* MOT Tester certification.
* Experience with hybrid/electric vehicles.
* Manufacturer training/accreditations.
