Brief Description: The Section Administrator provides accurate, efficient & effective administrative support to the line manager, working as directed or using own initiative as the situation demands. This is a 12‑month secondment / fixed‑term position.
Key Accountabilities
* Administration of rosters and timesheets.
* Accurately update systems, databases and records as required, including opening/closing works orders.
* Support the administration of the Assessment in the Line process.
* Set up and maintain efficient filing systems for the section(s), paying particular attention to confidentiality and safety‑critical documents.
* Undertake general office administration duties for the Section Manager using a range of knowledge and skills to provide effective support.
* Provide support and assistance to other Section Administrator positions as directed.
Essential Job Skills, Experience and Qualifications
* Experience of clerical support and office management.
* Excellent time management.
* Knowledge of relevant IT systems.
* Ability to work on own initiative.
* Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.
Desirable
* Knowledge of operational railway environment.

Benefits & Compensation
Grade: Band 6
Salary: £23,758 to £25,000
