We're looking for a Supervisor to join our Shropshire team on a 3 month fixed term contract based at our Longden Road depot.Location: Shropshire - Longden Road, SY3 9ELHours: 40 hours per week - site basedContract: 3 Month Fixed Term ContractSalary : £37,796 per annumWe are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.This is an exciting opportunity to take on a key role within our highways maintenance team. As a Supervisor, you'll be responsible for overseeing site teams across the Shropshire region, ensuring that reactive, routine, and minor works and schemes are delivered safely, on budget, and to agreed timescales. You'll play a vitalrole in planning, health and safety management, and supporting your team's development.
The successful candidate will need to be available for winter service and emergency out-of-hours work when and if required.What will you be responsible for?As a Supervisor, you'll be working within the highways maintenance team, supporting them in delivering high-quality works safely and efficiently. Your day to day will include:Planning and coordinating programmes of work, ensuring delivery to time and budgetConducting regular safety site inspections and promoting best practice across all sitesManaging and developing your site team, supporting their career progression and competency developmentEnsuring all health and safety standards are maintained, including compliance with CDM regulations and traffic management requirementsCollaborating with supply chain partners to improve standards and celebrate team successesWhat are we looking for?This role of Supervisor is great for you if:You hold a Site Safety Management certificate (SMSTS or SSSTS)You have experience in highways maintenance at a supervisory levelYou hold an NRSWA Supervisor card and Full driving licenceYou're confident with planning, managing teams, and maintaining safety standardsYou're comfortable using digital tools and Excel to support your workRewards and benefitsWe're proud to be able to offer our brilliant people a wide variety of benefits that you can tailor to your needs.
