Apply now and embark on a rewarding career with #TeamCDDFT.</p><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Assessing and advising on the needs of women, birthing people, partners, families, and carers and providing emotional support during all stages of pregnancy and postnatal care.</li><li>Planning, delivering and evaluating standards of evidence-based midwifery care.</li><li>Supporting women and birthing people in both the midwifery led unit and home environments.</li><li>Recognising deterioration in the physical or mental condition of a patient and taking appropriate action, escalation and managing emergencies.</li><li>In times of high acuity, members of the MLU/Home birth team may be escalated to assist community midwives with their day-to-day activities.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>You must be able to produce all certificates stated as essential in the person specification or you will not be able to complete pre-employment checks.</li></ul><h3>Location and Services</h3><p>We provide hospital services from two acute sites – Darlington Memorial Hospital and University Hospital of North Durham – as well as a centre for planned care in Bishop Auckland and care from community hospitals in Chester-le-Street, Shotley Bridge, Barnard Castle, Sedgefield and Weardale.
