About the role:
Pertemps are proud to be working in partnership with Royal Mail, the UK's designated Universal Postal Service Provider, to recruit HGV Class 2 (Category C) Drivers based at their busy Swindon Distribution Centre.
As an HGV 2 Driver, you'll play a key role in the Royal Mail network by trunking parcels and mail between depots nationwide. With minimal manual handling and shifts allocated a week in advance, this is a role that offers both stability and flexibility.

What you'll be doing
9. Driving HGV Class 2 vehicles within the Royal Mail fleet
10. Trunking parcels and mail between depots (no multi-drop)
11. Maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism at all times
12. Ensuring compliance with WTD and drivers' hours regulations
13. Carrying out necessary vehicle checks and completing digital tacho entries
What we need from you
14. A valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence, held for at least 2 years with 180+ days' recent commercial driving experience (insurance requirement)
15. Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card
16. Maximum of 5 penalty points (no DD/DR/IN/CD/TT endorsements)
17. Good geographical knowledge and strong professional standards
18. Ability to carry out manual entries on a digital tachograph card
19. Willingness to complete a DBS security check
20. Successful completion of a site assessment and induction before first shift
