We are currently looking for an experienced Gateman / Civil Operative with their Competent Person (NSI 6 & 8 Full) to join a major National Grid 400kV substation project at Pembroke.
This is a long-term opportunity on a high‑profile transmission infrastructure project, ideal for someone with existing National Grid site experience and the correct authorisations.
Responsibilities
* Managing access and egress to site
* Controlling personnel and vehicle movements
* Ensuring site access procedures are followed at all times
* Supporting the wider civils team as required
* Maintaining site safety standards and compliance
* Assisting with general operative duties where needed
Essential Requirements
* NSI 6 & 8 Full (National Grid authorisation)
* Manual Handling
* Previous experience working on live National Grid substation projects
* Strong understanding of site safety procedures
* Reliable and professional approach
