We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Sports Coach to work across a network of primary schools in Burnley from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about physical education and supporting children’s development across the primary age range.
The successful candidate will deliver high-quality sports and physical activity sessions to pupils aged 4–11, working across multiple primary school settings. The role involves supporting class teachers, leading structured sessions, and promoting positive engagement in sport and physical wellbeing.
* Deliver engaging and inclusive sports sessions across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
* Support pupils of varying abilities to participate and develop skills
* Work across multiple primary school sites in Burnley
* Promote teamwork, confidence, and healthy lifestyles
* Assist with PE lessons, extracurricular clubs, and enrichment activities
* Provide positive behaviour management and ensure a safe learning environment
* Collaborate with school staff to support pupil development
* Experience working with children (essential)
* Relevant qualification in sport, coaching, or physical education (essential)
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to adapt sessions for different ages and abilities
* Positive, energetic, and professional approach
* Willingness to travel between school sites

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
