Chartered Building Surveyor Location: Warwickshire / Hybrid Rate: £442.43 per day (Umbrella) Contract: Interim Assignment A local authority in Warwickshire is seeking an experienced Chartered Building Surveyor (MRICS) to join their Property Services team on an interim basis. Key Responsibilities: * Deliver the full range of building surveying functions across the council’s commercial property portfolio * Carry out building condition surveys and develop a Planned Property Maintenance (PPM) programme * Manage and prioritise maintenance works * Prepare drawings and work schedules for building projects * Provide project management for small to complex capital works schemes * Prepare future maintenance budgets and liaise with finance teams * Support feasibility studies and deliver improvement and investment plans Essential Criteria: * MRICS qualified – Chartered status is essential * Minimum 5 years of professional experience in building surveying, property maintenance, and asset management * Strong technical knowledge of property maintenance planning, building regulations, and construction methods * Ability to produce technical drawings and job-specific schedules * Proven experience managing a range of projects from concept to completion * Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills Responsible For: The effective delivery of building surveying functions across the council’s commercial property assets, ensuring works are planned, prioritised, and delivered to a high standard and in line with strategic objectives
