Senior Test Manager – Public Sector
Location: London, United Kingdom
A senior manager role within KPMG’s Infrastructure, Government and Healthcare (IGH) team, driving the development and delivery of a best‑in‑class Quality Engineering and Testing Practice in the public sector.
Responsibilities
* Formulate unique, value‑add propositions and solutions for public sector clients, manage and direct pursuit activity.
* Deliver individual revenue sales targets.
* Mentor and coach other team members.
* Develop and convert a pipeline of opportunities across public sector clients.
* Play a key role in account and sector development across IGH, building the top line.
* Build and maintain strong client relationships leveraging proven industry content and delivery capability.
* Perform a senior role in delivery of engagements as required.
Qualifications
* Sales and delivery experience with associated sales and utilisation targets, strong bid management, mentoring.
* Solution development as a Quality Engineering and Testing SME, especially software testing in IT transformation.
* People management – build a team of consultants with the right mix of grades, competencies and experience.
* Project management – proven ability to run multiple client projects simultaneously (Programme Director / Engagement Manager).
Industry Skills & Experience
* Experience in a leading advisory or industry institution with a successful track record in business development and delivery in the public sector.
* Exposure to shaping and delivering significant IT change programmes on the sell‑side.
* In‑depth knowledge of the testing industry including services, tools, practices, metrics and key players.
Technical Interests
* Test automation and quality engineering
* Non‑functional testing
* Accessibility testing
* Testing with AI and testing of AI

* Management of complex testing programmes across customer‑facing and back‑office systems.
* Leading multiple, diverse, complex client programmes.

* Ability to translate client aspirations into practical delivery approaches.
* Experience working with technology functions throughout the delivery lifecycle for seamless transition to implementation.
* Solid problem‑solving, data analysis, core issue identification and solution evaluation.
* Excellent communication, influencing senior management and stakeholders, building and maintaining relationships.
* Broad personal networks across industry to support business development.
* Strong interpersonal and written communication, self‑starter and team player.
