Interim Financial Accountant (12 Month FTC)
Marlow/Buckinghamshire - Hybrid
Savant is supporting a key client who is seeking a Finance professional to cover maternity leave, taking a hands-on role in managing day-to-day transactional activities while also leading initiatives to modernise and improve the efficiency of our financial operations. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute strategically, streamline processes, and make a tangible impact across the finance function during a pivotal period of change.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee month-end close, cash flow forecasting, treasury management, and reconciliations
* Manage payroll, capital expenditure, VAT returns, and audit preparation
* Lead and develop a small transactional finance team
* Support process improvement initiatives and cross-functional projects
* Provide financial training and guidance to non-financial stakeholders
* Ensure all changes to statutory requirements are researched, understood, and planned ahead of implementation dates
About You:
* Qualified or finalist level Accountant (CIMA, ACCA or equivalent)
* Proven experience leading transactional teams and improving finance operations
* Strong Excel and systems skills (experience with Access is advantageous)
* Excellent organisational, communication, and people management skills
* Ability to work collaboratively and deliver under pressure
